Modern Day Slaves Addicted to Oil

That is what we the people have become. Our solution to the energy crisis and addiction is to keep talking about it. If we do the end result will be drilling more holes and keeping us mainlined into the pure energy stuff. You know the fossil fuel stuff. It is like asking the drug pusher to help you get off your addiction. Sure I can help. How does $5.00 gas and $4.00 home heating oil sound?

The government says that alternative energy is too far away and why we need to keep the drilling piece front and center. Well that is simply not true. They say theses technologies are too expensive and we need to let the market decide who will be the winners and losers. That is also not true. The fact is the government has picked the winners and that is BigOil. The losers are alternative energy. The real underlying issue holding back alternatives and one that does not get reported in any meaningful way is that BigOil receives over $5.00 per gallon in hidden subsidies, incentives and tax schemes over the pump price. It is amazing that the talking heads representing the status quo are not fact checked by the media because these facts are readily available. These hidden incentives include depreciation allowances, master limited partnerships, pipelines built with taxpayer monies and then the talking heads say that alternative energy is too expensive. Come on, that is disingenuous. Where are the infrastructures built for alternatives? Where is parity within the tax code for alternative energy? Well there are none, only mere teasers to make it look good and to make you feel better about what we are doing as a nation.

Oh, one more point. Solar was making headway so they needed to be slowed down. So, Congress came up with a two year moratorium on building solar facilities on public land. Congress passes that, yet they can not even pass an extension for one year of mere teasers that alternative energies receive even when the public is crying and demanding change. Let us face reality. We are modern day slaves and the pharaohs are BigOil.

Mr. Appel, I totally agree with you! The people of the Untied states need to be more assertive and demanding of our politicians.
If only People like you and your orginization had "big oil" lobbys, then, maybe, we could come closer to becoming "Great Nation", like we use to, thru true energy independance! Please, hang in there!

For a start please accept my congratulations on establishing a working industrial-scale TP alternate fuel plant.

What with the corruption of the political system and the crooked machinations of the oil industry it must have been as hard as lighting a fire in the rain with wet wood.

But you did it! Well done.

I can't understand why people aren't blogging here; I can't understand why you haven't been invited to take over the world.

Peak Oil is upon us and the nation is drowning in its own waste: this solves both problems at once.

I wasn't aware of the crooked subsidies that Big Oil has arranged for itself, nor that media silence is maintained on them.

Truly disgraceful. Perhaps you could pay someone part-time to go on the blogosphere to alert folks to these and other crucial matters relating to CWT.

If the mainstream media won't cover you go around them to someone who will.

I was thinking of CWT the other day when I read of South Carolina and its huge cesspools of pig manure generated by its feedlot pork industry. There is something appealingly ironic about the state that started the Civil War slowly drowning in a sea of excrement.

I am no fan of feedlots and can't wait till they're abolished but in the meantime would this be suitable feedstock for TP?

There's certainly enough of it.

Keep up the good work.

Macsporan.

Like the drug victim we are drowning in the results of our exesses. our garbage is choking us as surely as the sun shines. There seems to be little understanding of what good the waste to oil process can do. I have spoken often to many people regarding this and the response was, "It's not possible. There isn't enough oil in the waste to produce fuel." They don't understand the process.
I drove from Portland Or. to Carthage Missouri last summer and to see for myself. I spoke to the Mayor, and some townspeople. It is happening and the information isn't getting out. Those of us on the West Coast are relatively open to new technologies. the removal of garbage is an exciting idea
If alternative energy were too far away we wouldn't be saddled with ethanol that is hydroscopic , adds water to our gas, increases our food prices, and messes up our fuel injectors. We lose 20% of our gas mileage to boot.
We need to put Changing World Technology on the map. people need to know about CWT. How can we make this happen? This process will do what needs to be done. the other alternatives fall short of what is necesary.

Thank you for your kind words. It is happening and we are working to make change.

The elections are getting ever closer, and the polititians are talking about energy and the ways to produce more fuel. They seem to think we can drill ourselves out of this black hole. We will only deplete our reserves. The reserves were set aside to protect our country if there were a conflict with the people who control the oil. Hmm, I wonder if this is what they meant. Why not develop alternative fuels like yours while we still have the ability. Soon we will be dependant on more than just oil. we will have no one to build and repair the machines that produce this oil. Our trade schools are dwindling. What we need is a "Great Nation " lobby, and stop voting against our country's best interest. We need to inform our politico's of our concerns. Grass roots works, and I will keep at it JP

Thanks. The election will bring to light how out of balance the system is in favor of BigOil, and why “Blood for Oil” is even worse today. Then maybe then, alternative energy providers can get a fair shake as people write and demand that we want change to their local, state and federal leaders.

We should also all push these lawmakers to provide extra incentives to companies like ours that eliminate waste. We also need to make sure that any process should not contribute to global warming or add to air pollution like we see with incineration.
